The other day Google opened a beta version of the newest Android 12 OS to developers. It can already be installed on the company's branded "pixels" ranging from the third generation. Now it's known how the build is named inside the corporation.

The portal XDA Developers has acknowledged that the new OS are going to be codenamed Snow Sope (sc) after a well-liked brand of frozen dessert during a cup.

By the way, the official release of the system is scheduled for May and can happen during the normal Google I/O conference

Previously, each remake of the system was named after some quite confectionery. So, for instance , version 1.5 was named Cupcake, 5.0 - Lollipop, and 8.0 - Oreo (a sort of cookie popular in America). For several years, this tradition has been broken and new versions are not any longer named after confectionery dishes, however, it clothed that within the corporate new builds are still named after popular desserts.
